Once upon a time there were two brothers, one of them a king called King Richard and the other an Archduke and strong politician called Henry. These brothers were very different King Richard loved to go outdoors, talk to his people and was very handsome while Henry liked to stay indoors, read and was very average compared to his brother and was very jealous of his brother. One day King Richard said to his brother “Henry let us ride outside today I promise you that we won’t go too far from the castle,” however his brother didn’t want to go outside today since it looked like it was going to rain.
“No brother you go without me,” said Henry in his best pleading voice. “Come now Henry don’t make me order you to go, I have a surprise for you,” said King Richard. “Very well,” said Henry. So the two brothers took their horses onto the trail before King Richard quickly went off trail towards the prison. “My lord! My lord! Please don’t go down there! That way is to the prison!” shouted Henry before riding towards his brother.
Eventually the brothers came to a stop before the prison where King Richard spotted a young maiden collecting some herbs. He fell in love with her right away. Henry looked where his brother was staring and saw the young maiden as well. He looked between his brother and the young maiden before instantly knowing what his brother was thinking and jealously thought to keep the young maiden away from his brother and keep her for himself.
“You there! Young maiden! What is your name?” shouted King Richard startling the young woman.
“I am Crystal, my lord,” she answered. Just then Henry knew what he had to do. Charging his horse towards the woman he purposely slipped off of the saddle and landed near her.
Crystal immediately rushed to Henry’s side while King Richard looked on jealously and worried and rushed to their side. “Please help my brother,” said King Richard to the young woman. Crystal called to the prison guards to help her inside Henry for it started to rain. When Henry woke up he asked for his brother. “Brother can you please find for me my ring that our father gave to me? I think it slipped from my hand when I fell,” said Henry. “Of course I will,” said King Richard.
So King Richard set out to find his brother’s lost ring and looked around the ground that his brother had fell. “My lord! Psst! My Lord!” said a voice from around there. Looking around King Richard saw a prisoner from behind bar windows. “What are you looking for, my lord?” asked the prisoner. “I am looking for my brother’s lost ring from where he had fell off of his horse,” said King Richard.
“I was here all the time watching, he did not lose his ring my lord, in fact I think he faked it,” said the prisoner.
“What proof do you have that my brother did that on purpose, lowly commoner?” asked King Richard haughtily. “Because you learn things when you are in prison and I saw it with my own two eyes he saw you watching the herbologist and rode towards her before sliding off of his saddle,” said the prisoner.
“Why would he do that?” asked King Richard.
“He loves the herbologist as you do, my lord,” said the prisoner.
“What is your name then?” asked King Richard.
“My name is Emrys, my lord,” said the prisoner.
“Thank you for your services,” said King Richard before to stormed back into the prison to find his brother. “I am sorry brother but I couldn’t find your ring however Crystal may I ask you something?” asked King Richard.
“Of course my lord,” said Crystal.
“Would you marry me?” asked King Richard.
“Yes I will,” said Crystal.
“No!” shouted Henry before he started to transform into a ragged beast. Crystal screamed when she saw what had happened to Henry. “That is not my brother! That is a monster” said King Richard before drawing his sword and stabbing the beast in the heart. The monster transformed back into Henry but he was not the same as before and through his ring where it broke upon the ground and fled the prison.
They all lived happily ever after.
